If you've been following me on social media, you may have noticed things are going to get a little quiet over here for the next 2 weeks and I wanted to come here, to my little corner of the internet, and be real with you about why.

This is one of those posts that's equal parts life update, prayer request, and a really exciting gift for you. So grab your coffee (I know I have mine), and let's chat.

The BRB Is Real — And It's Intentional

I'm taking two weeks off of social media to fast and focus.

Somewhere along the way, I noticed I had become a little obsessive over my analytics. Checking numbers, watching views, refreshing stats. And while I believe wholeheartedly in showing up for my readers and building community online, I started to realize that social media was becoming more of a distraction than a tool and right now, I simply cannot afford that.

Because here's the truth: Dare to Fall needs me. All of me.

I am on deadline to get this book finished and into the hands of my beta readers by the end of February, and I'll be honest with you, I'm a little behind. The end of the book still needs to be finalized, and there are edits that need my full attention and my whole heart.

So I'm stepping away from the noise to do what I actually do best: write stories that I pray point people closer to Jesus.

A Prayer Request From My Heart to Yours

I don't take lightly the fact that so many of you pray for me and this work, and I want to ask for your prayers specifically right now.

Would you pray for my focus? That the distractions fall away and I can sit down and do the work with clarity and confidence.

Would you pray that the Holy Spirit leads me through these final edits and the scenes still being written? I want every word to be intentional. I want this story to land the way it's supposed to land: in the hearts of readers who need it.

I believe stories can be a ministry, and Dare to Fall feels especially personal to me. Thank you for standing with me in that.

Life Is Full and Beautiful and A Little Crazy Right Now

Beyond the writing, life at home is full in the best possible way.

My oldest, Kennedy, is in that bittersweet season of her "lasts" in middle school: last season of sports, last events, last milestones before she steps into high school. It's the kind of thing that makes you tear up in the bleachers and also cheer the loudest in the room at the same time. I am so proud of her.

My middle daughter Aubrey is about to start volleyball, and I just know she is going to love it. There is something so special about watching your kids find their thing, and I cannot wait to see her grow in it.

And my youngest? He is simply being all boy: outside every chance he gets, living his best life, completely unbothered. Honestly, he's my reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.

On top of family life, my husband and I are helping plant a new church campus closer to home, and we are deep in the season of ramping up our serving. It is stretching us and filling us all at once. I am so grateful for a faith community that keeps calling us higher.

Life is full. And I wouldn't trade it for anything.
